The Master's in Public Policy, Law, and Governance (MPPLG) is a two-year, full-time programme designed to provide students with an integrated understanding of the intersections between public policy, legal frameworks, and governance structures. Offered through four semesters, this programme equips graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate and shape the evolving landscape of policy anad governance, both within India and globally.
The programme aims to develop professionals who can engage meaningfully in the policymaking arena, whether through direct participation in government, civil society, or industry, or by contributing to academia and research. Through rigorous interdisciplinary training, participants will acquire a deep comprehension of how law and governance impact public policy, and how policies, in turn, shape socio-political and economic realities.
With a curriculum rooted in multiple disciplines, including law, economics, management, sociology and International relations, the programme prepares graduates to critically analyze and address complex societal issues. The curriculum also includes electives offered from multiple disciplines, curated with a primary focus on skill-building. With a blend of theory-driven and skills-focused courses, the programme fosters an environment that encourages critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and ethical commitment. Graduates are expected to emerge as thought leaders and practitioners capable of crafting innovative solutions to public challenges, particularly in areas where law, governance, and policy intersect.
