Eligibiligy Criteria for LL.B & LL.M. Programs
Eligibility for LL.B.
First Class Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine or equivalent.
OR
First Class Masters Degree in Science or Pharmacy or equivalent.
OR
First Class MBA Degree with any of the above
If the degree awarding institute does not explicitly mention “First Class” then the eligibility will be a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale.
The CGPA will not be converted into percentage marks if the degree awarding institute provides marks in CGPA system. Then, the admission will be based on the CGPA awarded in the transcript. If the CGPA is on a different scale other than 10.0, the eligibility of the candidate will be calculated corresponding to the equivalence stated above.
Eligibility for LL.M.
- First class (or equivalent) in Bachelor of Laws LL.B./B.L. (5 years) program from any recognised University.
- First Class (or equivalent) in Bachelor of Laws LL.B./B.L.(3 years) program from any recognised University along with Bachelor's Degree (not less than 3 years) in Humanities/ Science/ Commerce or equivalent.
- If the degree awarding institute does not explicitly mention “First Class”, then the eligibility will be a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale.
- The CGPA will not be converted into percentage marks if the degree awarding institute provides marks in CGPA system. Then, the admission will be based on the CGPA awarded in the transcript. - Students pursuing LL.B (Hons.) in Intellectual Property Law from the IIT Kharagpur in the academic year 2023-24 with final CGPA of 8.5 or above are eligible for admission in LL.M program without appearing in this entrance test.
- RGSOIPL may offer LLM specialization in Intellectual Property Law, International Law and Criminal Law. LLM aspirants will be required to give their choices for specialization in the application form. Limited students will be admitted in each specialization (tentative 20) based on merit and choice. No change of specialization is permitted after the same is allotted.
