GATE-JAM Office conducts entrance examimation to pursue Postgraduate Programmes and Research at all IIT, NIT, CFTI and other State Government Institutes and Universities in India and Abroad.

GATE JAM Office also coordinate the admission to MTech Programmes and PhD through GATE Score commonly known as JMP (Joint Admission to MTech and PhD programme) at IIT Kharagpur.
